Governance, Policies, and Reporting

Aboriginal Communities have complex structures that they are required to manage and control with minimal external assistance. We understand the challenges, the common gaps, and comes to the table with the desire to help create systems and structures that simplify and not complicate.

Governance

  1. We will help you create governance structures that protects the political structures and leaders from the discomfort that change creates.
  2. Streamline and simplify governance structures
  3. Clarify and Document organizational structures and communicate to all stakeholders

Policies

  1. Draft policies that are needed for the community based on needs and diagnosis of problems/challenges
  2. Create consistency of decision making through policy creation (leadership can make decisions based on policies voted on and agreed to by the community).
  3. Review existing policies – how they are or aren’t getting followed, what needs to be done, and identify gaps
  4. Empower community leaders with policies that help them meet their strategic goals.

Reporting

  1. Create reporting requirements to ensure that all government reporting is completed on a timely manner to ensure that there are no delays
  2. Create reporting requirements for management to keep everyone on track and moving forward on the strategic plan
  3. Utilize information in reporting to track progress, use as communications tool, and manage performance
